Race name:Aabenraa Bjergmarathon (Aabenraa Mountain Marathon)
Starting Point:Storetorv, Aabenraa (The square)
Distances: Marathon, halfmarathon, 10 KM, 5,6 KM and 5,6 Km Walk
Entry fee: Please go to www.sportstiming.dk and search for Bjergmarathon.
Included in the entry fee:
– all participants will receive a spectacular medal
– all participants running marathon or halfmarathon will receive a finisher T-shirt. (only upon registration no later than 2 weeks befor raceday).
– chip timing, event village with catering, – refreshment stations, – changing-facilities, -bag storage, traffic-free course, livestreaming and livetracking, -pacesetters, big screens in start/ finish area (also for the spectators to view the race), bands playing.
– a race where the course, the service and our experience is making it one of the absolute best and most spectacular races in Denmark.
The course is measured by DAF (Danish Association of Athletics Federation) and thus approved for records.
Timing and results:
www.sportstiming.dk is responsible for the online registration and the official timing.
There is a chip on your Bib number. Results from the race will be available on Sportstiming’s website, from where you can also print your diploma.
Pick-up of Bib numbers and t-shirts:
Bib number and t-shirt will be handed out to you at the race area:
Friday (day before race day) from 15:00 – 18:00 pm.
Saturday (race day) from 09:00 am to 1 hour before the start of the current race

Remember to know your Bib number, please bring your receipt.
The information about your Bib number will be sent to you in an e-mail and you can check your Bib number on the attendee list with sportstiming.dk
Changing and shower facilities at Arena Aabenraa, Hjelmálle 3, Aabenraa (within walking distance from start/finish line)
Bag drop off on the day:
You can drop off your bag before the start of the race (within the race area)
There will be refreshment stations along the course, located and similar fitted in both sides of the course at intervals of 3-4 K. You will also find refreshment with fruit during the course and catering in the finish-area.
There will be toilets available at the starting/finishing area as well as alongside the course – in connection to some of the refreshment stations.
Pace-setters with balloons indicating the expected time will be visible in the starting area.
For the marathon we have pace-setters for finishing in: 3:30, 3:45, 4:00 and 4:15
For the halfmarathon we have pace-setters for finishing in 1:45
The running surface is very diverse, as you run on both asphalt and woodland path. Both the marathon and the halfmarathon course consist of 2-4 loops, and after each loop you will pass the square. Expect the square to be crowded with cheering spectators J

By plane: Billund Airport and from there by Bus
By plane: Copenhagen Airport and from there by Train to Rødekro Train Station

By train:Arriving by train to Rødekro Train Station: From here it is a 10 minute ride by Taxi
If you want to stay overnight on the day before the race or stay till the day after the race, there are many opportunities for this.

Participants must wear the official Bib number for Aabenraa Bjergmarathon (Mountain Marathon) clearly visible on the chest throughout the race. The Bib number may not be changed or altered in any way, for example folded or clipped. Failure to follow this rule will result in disqualification of the participant.
All runners correctly enrolled will have 6 hours to complete the Marathon.
It is not allowed to have personal bike-support on the course; this may result in disqualification.
For safety reasons baby joggers are not allowed on the course; this may result in disqualification.
All traffic-rules and instructions from officials must be respected.
If a participant is prevented from attending the race, there is no claim of repayment – whatsoever.
The minimum age for marathon participants is 18 years on race day, and 16 years for halfmarathon.
With your registration you agree to:
– participating at own risk.
– organizer may use race-photos, film-footage, interviews, etc., in which you appear.
– in case of cancellation of the race because of force majeure, participants are not entitled to reimbursement of the enrolment fee.
